There will be a group of Apostolics attending two meetings in Washington DC on Auguest 14, 2008. The first will be an Apostolic White House Briefing in the AM, and then an Israeli Embassy Briefing is being held in Jerusalem Hall of the Embassy in the afternoon of August 14, 2008. Apostolics interested in attending these two meetings need to get information in by August 1st.

This meetings are connected with the Apostolic Initiative which has already had several briefings at the White House in the last couple of years. According to their website, the vision of the Apostolic Initiative is, “To promote the Apostolic message and to represent in the halls of power the Apostolic groups and to see Apostolic youth given a vision and desire to one day hold key political office.”

Any Apostolic who wishes to attend will have to contact them to be put on a list. Because of White House security clearance, they will have to provide their personal information, such as: full name, address, social security number and email address. The White House briefing itself is free, but of course, there are expenses for travel and lodging.

The Apostolic Initiative is a representation of all Apostolic Pentecostal organizations in America. Rev. Stan Wachtstetter founded the Apostolic Coalition in the early 1980’s as President Reagan was coming into office and represented Apostolic’s through Bush. The Apostolic Initiative has continued that work since November 2005 under the leadership of Rev. Greg Harris.

Please check out their website for more information, or to contact them.
