The main offices of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus located in Rancho Cucamonga, California, were vandalized on the night of 24 June. The vandalization is under investigation by police.
There has been broad speculation that the destructive activity may be related to the on-going controversy that has embroiled the fellowship since their General Convocation of November 2006, when election proceedings were hotly contested. Bloggers have reported that 20 pastors are to be excommunicated, a charge denied by the AAFCJ.
Four AAFCJ pastors filed a lawsuit against the organization and have been removed from fellowship. In April 2008, a judge ruled in favor of the AAFCJ, finding no consitutional irregularities that made the election results non-certifiable.
